Bus timetable - Santa Domenica Talao

Autolinee TNC Scalea- Santa Domenica Talao

Buses from Scalea to Santa Domenica Talao (the locals refer to the bus as the ‘Pullman’) either leave from the road across from the entrance to the bus park (where there are built in seats backing onto the children’s park) or from the bus park. AN ADDITIONAL COMPLICATION IS THAT THERE IS A CHANGE OF TIMETABLE IN SEASON. (As to precisely when this occurs has been impossible to establish!)

9.30 Not sure where this leaves from. The bus does not go into Santa Domenica but stops on request at around 10am at the shrine where the main road diverts to the village. It then goes on to Papasidero.

13.10 This stops at the seats opposite the bus park and also the station. It stops within the village

14.10 OUT OF SEASON This stops at the seats opposite the bus park and also the railway station. It stops within the village.

05.30 IN SEASON This stops at the seats opposite the bus park and also the railway station. It stops within the village

18.00 OUT OF SEASON This leaves from the bus park and also stops at the railway station. It stops within the village.


Buses from Santa Domenica Talao to Scalea come into the Piazza Italia or bypass the village and stop at the shrine.

7.07 Not sure where you would catch this one.

10.40 IN SEASON This comes into the Piazza Italia (After Scalea this bus goes directly to Diamante)

11.25 OUT OF SEASON This comes into the Piazza Italia (After Scalea this bus goes directly to Diamante)

15.47 This stops at the shrine.

There is usually a timetable for the buses within the railway station adjacent to the ticket office. However don’t count on it being up to date!

Nothing is guaranteed. I have visited the tourist office on several occasions to request information about the buses. Their only response has been to act surprised at their conversations being interrupted by a member of the public seeking information.
