Calor gas heater

We are looking for a second hand or cheap calor gas heater to see us through our winter visits.
Does anyone know where the best place to purchase one is?
Any help greatly appreciated.

We purchased one from Sasa Gas on the left hand side of the road into Santa Domenica Talao. They sell and distribute the bombole as well. You can see their selection in their small showroom. Prices range from Euro 60 upwards if my memory serves me right. I also heard via another member of gas heaters that don't create as much condensation in the air so would be worth checking on.

Thanks for the info. Looked on Italian internet and the cheapest was €82. Will take a look at SDT when we come out in November.

Hi,
I believe it was Derek and Monica that have both kinds of heaters and that the "catalytic" variety is a little more efficient and puts out less moisture. I don't know the price differences. The regular type has visible flames and the catalytic has a red hot heating element behind the glass. I noticed the varieties at the normal Euronics type spots, but they may not have them on the retail floor until November or so..... like the dehumidifier we sought in June!

We also have one of each kind of gas heater. The amount of heat output for the "catalytic" one is less than the one without (3kw versus 4.5kw) so I suspect that is the reason the moisture output is less to be honest.

Oops I've just realised I haven't followed up the stufa query. I'll ask the seller again for more details and post again when I get the info.
