English books at the Bibliotecha - Scalea Info Forums

Hello,

While in Scalea we gave the local library about 60 books, mostly those read by my wife. We found out that there is already a good selection of English books and hopefully the library is made well use of.

It might be a good idea if all those who have finished with their books can donate them to the Bibliotecha where the Tourist Information Office is now in the Centro Storico , prima piazza. That way all english speaking visitors can enjoy each other's books that we have finished with.

What a great idea. Where is the library exactly? We won't be here until June but we have loads of books stored up. Do you have to be a resident to take books out though? SWhat about our guests?

We too have a number of books available which we would be happy to donate to the library or swap with people.
Would also like to know how you join the local library and how it operates. Will be in Scalea 3 Feb - 3 Mar.
Also currently trying to negotiate discounted rates for multiple bookings for car hire. Will keep you informed on progress via this site.
