Taxis from Scalea station in the evening

We will be arriving at Scalea station on a Tuesday in November at about 9.00pm and would welcome any advice as to the availability of taxis at that time to take us to St Nicola Arcello. Also, as we will not have a car during our time there can anyone give us information on local buses to and from St Nicola to local places.

Normally I go with my family and am driven around but this visit it will just be a friend and myself and we will be reliant on local transport but would like to possibly visit Conzenza, Diamente, etc.,

Any information would be very welcome.

Sorry I can't help you with taxi information but the Preite website has bus timetables for local journeys.

I believe No. 6 and No. 7 stop in San Nicola and there may be others.

Where are you located in San Nicola? We have a place in I Delfini. I know we have a bus that runs around the town of San Nicola - not sure of the winter schedule. I have only seen the "city" bus that heads towards Scalea on the S18 in front of the Serpente Rosso.

Hi all

A bus from Scalea at that time in the evening is not going to be easy and certainly not very convenient. But there never seems to be any Taxis waiting for fares at the Station so I expect you will have to book one. There is a link on the Scalea community website:-
