Smile Introduction
Just wanted to say high to all and untroduce our selves, My husband Simon and myself moved to Calabria on the 8.08.08 hows that for a date!! We decided to sell up lock stock and barrel and head for sunnier climes, We are loving the life style although quiet on the work front at the moment due to time of year, does any one know of any local job sites as we could do wth boosting our dwindiling bank Balance!!
Si used to be an Estate Agent and Ive been working in Special Needs Education for the last few years, we have recently started looking after properties for clients who holiday out here.

We are looking forward to meeting new people and learning more about the beautiful area we live in.

We think this website is great, its really helpful in dealing with all sorts questions and gives great information.

Welcome to Scalea. We are from ireland and have an apartment in Scalea for the last 4 years, but unfortunately unlike you, we can only visit on holiday time from work. Hi Carole
Just a line to say Welcome and to hope you and Simon are settling in. We bought our place a couple of years ago for holidays but are now in the process of packing up back here in the UK to head to San Nicola Arcella on a permanent basis - and we can't wait! If all goes according to plan we will be arriving in December and would be happy to meet up for a coffee or beer. From the replies you've had so far on the Forum it looks as though your social diary will be a busy one!
