Default Left Calabria for England!! :)

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay in writing on here, I have been really busy training for my new job.

I have indeed moved back to England to be nearer to family and also to keep the little one busy, there isn't much in the way of facilities in Scalea for toddlers so we often found ourselves bored on Sundays etc... This obviously doesen't affect people on holiday but for us going to the beach everyday isn't an option!

Now our little Gabriella is happy with loads of toddler groups and soft play areas etc... The weather isn't too great and eating out costs the earth but you can't have everything!!!

If anybody lives in Nottingham and has a problem with their virgin media phone line, TV or broadband it might just be me who comes to fix it. Yes I now work for Richard Branson!!! Albeit at the very bottom of the Virgin ladder.

Anyway just thought I'd let everyone know where i've been.

Thumbs up

Hi David,
It's nice to hear from you again! I'm sure all of us who have children or grandchildren know the reasons behind your wise decision - spoken like a true Dad!
We're also glad to know that you are settled back in England with a job and that Melanie & Gabriella are enjoying the company of other Mums and toddlers. (I'm sure Dad joins in sometimes, too!)
That said, you have done a lot to bring interest to the area of Calabria (along with Tony, of course) - hence the new crop of TV programmes (and stars!) that have graced our screens over here. Well done for that, too.
I don't think it will be too long before you're back in Italy for a visit but, in the meantime, all the very best to you and your family as you start your new life in this also very beautiful, if not a wee bit overcast, country of ours!
Very best regards,
Saluti a Melanie & baci per Gabriella,
Francesca.

Hi David - as before, loads of good luck in everything. Can see the logic - having been torn between UK and Italy for decades. All best to you all. M&F
