From Ciampino to Scalea

Ciao all,
I am driving to Scalea from Ciampino airport tomorrow. I will be leaving Ciampino about 1pm. Does anybody know the best place to stop on the way down for a something to eat, a rest and some shopping?
Any idea how long it could take at this time of the year?

I would be very greatful for a quick reply.

Hi,
We usually do the Ciampino journey in about four and a half hours (sometimes longer if you'r diverted off the autostrada). We tend to spend as little time as possible stopping, because it's a long time to be travelling. Any of the Autogrills on the autostrada are very good for something to eat. We tend to leave the shopping untill you'r down in Scalea and the journey is over.
