Paying ENEL electric bills

Hi

Just received my first electric bill through the post in the UK and am now able to access the bill online, but like many others the system will not accept my credit card.

Can you pay at the post office in Scalea even if you do not have an account with them?

Whereabouts is the petrol station on the SS18 where payments can be paid?

Would be grateful for any advice.

I`m sorry but I do not know which garage it is, we pay our bill via a Direct Debit on our BNL account, its a lot easier as we get an electric bill every two months.
You should be able to pay at the Post Office, have they sent you a pre-printed Banco Posta paying in slip? if not you would need all the account details & probably your Codice Fiscale number and fill out a blank form
All our other bills (rubbish,water,sewer,Scalea comune & condominium) we pay at the post office twice a year, they all send us a paying in slip with the bill

I should have said

if you use the Scalea Post Office, go to the counters at the far end, and also you need to get a ticket for the queue

Yes it is perfectly possible to pay your bill without having an account - but beware the queues in the post office (San Nicola seems much better that Scalea in this regard but both may be packed in August).
For that reason we have used other payment methods.
It is possible to pay at lotto shops or some garages.
The garage we have used previously is the Agip garage nearest Cirella (there are two Agip garages on that stretch).
In both cases these alternative payment places are hooked up by a little computer terminal and they just punch in your details from the bill and take your cash.
