looking for a place to live

Hello,
I am moving to Italy in mid august and my housing in Firenze fell through and I have decided to check out other parts of Italy rather than live in an expensive city. I hear that Calabria is affordable and beautiful. Is this true? Also is the city called Calabria or is that the region? Or is the city called Scalea? Sorry if I sound stupid there. Anyway I am looking to live in an area that is sunny, on the ocean and has apartments or living situations that run around 500-600 euros a month or less, preferably less. I need an internet connection to make my living, so that is necessary as well. Does anyone know if this area could work for me or maybe you have other suggestions? I can live anywhere that is internet capable and the whole country is beautiful, I just want to live on the ocean. Thanks for any help.

Calabria in the southernmost region in mainland Italy, Calabria is split into provinces. Scalea is in the Cosenza province of Calabria.

Scalea has a population of around 10000 people, this population swells at least 10x in August because of Italian holidaymakers.

Internet access is readily available here, homes can have broadband internet fitted and there are many internet access ponts.

A 2 bedroom apartment in Calabria will cost approx €1000 per year to run, if you are looking for a low cost of living, look no further.

The whole Scalea area is sunny, is on the beach and there are many outlying areas which have something for everyone, the smaller outlying towns and villages are also on the sea but offer a quieter pace of life. Scalea itself can be very busy in the summer. The area is very beautfiful, inland are stunning high mountains while looking the other way you have bright blue sea
