Ciao,
Can somebody who is lucky enough to be in Scalea, Maiera or anywhere in the area please give an update on the weather. I will be over in Italy in 3 weeks. Everytime I check the weather on google it mostly shows rain. I hope it is at least 35 in the sun. Anyone want to meet up in pier bar from 20th june to 26th.

looks like the meteo sites you've hit must be "experimental", to say the least. We've been in Scalea since the 24th May and the weather has been hot, sunny and dry most of the time. Today was cloudy and hot and, last Sat we had a short thundershower that hardly managed to cool things down. While the north of the country was having a spell of bad weather with nasty thunderstorms, floods in the north west, the sun was shining here.

RAI forecasts seem to indicate good weather for the rest of June.

Please do not worry the weather report is not alway right. The weather is lovely and hot at the moment, if it does rain then it only usually lasts a couple of hours at this time of the year, just to clear the air and then back to sunshine.

Why not check the Diamante webcam on the link posted by Italy4me, which you can find under the heading: "Live Local Weather - Diamante Webcam" (home page)? It will give you a good idea on a daily basis as to how the weather is behaving over on the Cedro Riviera.
I love Diamante as a town - can't believe we were walking along there in the sunshine just a couple of weeks ago, viewing the webcam from the other side! Weather was great that day - we watched a boat being lifted on that crane - just the thing my hubby loves! It looks even better than the webcam shows. Beats the weather we've got here at the moment any day!
