Interesting Ryanair statistics Italy has become the second largest market worldwide for Ryanair, generating 12% of total traffic.
So much so that for 2008 the low cost Irish airline plans to carry 14 million passengers to and from Italy, compared with 12.7 million last year, with a target within ten years of a total of 60 million passengers .
"While traffic volumes for Alitalia have not changed in the last decade - says Alessia Viviani, director of marketing and sales Ryanair for Southern Europe - we currently carry in Italy more European visitors than any other company."
The company says they have a record of 88% of flights on time and have a rate of lost luggage of 0.6 per thousand as opposed to 17 per thousand for passengers of Air France and Alitalia and 28 per thousand for British Airways. |
