No you are not the only one, although as a gardener myself I do try to just look. Gleaning is traditional in Italy and is especially popular with the older women. A woman from SDT with relatives in our building stopped me and gave me some parsley and peperoncino that she was out gathering. Maybe she got the parsley from under your lemon tree.
Since we will have no piece of earth at SDT I am planning (in my head) enormous clay pots...lemon trees have figured in those images. I have one in the greenhouse now with about 10 lemons. I'm researching how to take plants to Italy. I think citrus is out, though. I have some 30-year old plants that I have trouble thinking about abandoning since they have made it this far but I suppose I can find good homes for them.
If you do find changes at our place, snap a pic and I will add to my restoration thread. I have some from Stuart and Janet to add today.
The weather here is cloudy with snow.
