Many thanks for that link; great site for paying bills etc. and sitting here in London with 0 degrees it warms my heart to see Santa Domenica Talao has 10 degrees today!

Hi Helena & Gerry,
We have had some lovely sunny, warm days this week. Brian has a bit of a thing about temperatures and thermometers and yesterday, after lunch, we had 18 degrees in the shade (behind the shutter on the balcony) and 29 degrees in full sunshine (it's a South facing balcony).
Spoke to Monica at the beginning of the week and she reckoned if the temperature surged upwards it would be because their windows had finally been fitted (they have been living with gaping holes whilst it was the coldest we had ever known it here....)
