Try A&M Immobiliare Corso Mediterraneo 123 Tel: 0985.91313 www.aeemme.it. You said you didn't need it but there is someone there who speaks English. Ask for Jill (English) or Antonio (Italian). Good luck!

Tony will take you to most of the Immobiliare, including A&M (he did me) but he may not get time to take you to all of them -- in which case you should foot-it round them yourself.

You will find some on Viale Primo Maggio, which runs down from the Railway Station to make a T-junction with Via Lauro. Then if you turn right at Via Lauro and walk down Via Lauro itself towards Centro Storico you will find Immobiliare on both sides all the way down. You will know them because, just as in England, they display pictures of their properties for sale in the windows. But some of them are quite small, so you need to keep a keen eye out for them.

Having said that, I would not have bought my place without having Tony there. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful. And he will need to fill you in on the details of property buying in Italy. It's not the same as in the UK.

I brought my apartment through Scalea Property and they were great, really helpful and friendly. They are helping me rent my apartment out. I did view on my own some of the Italian agents, but they were showing me thing way above my budget, which was wasting my time and proves they were not listenin to me.

In my opinion and not to waste time i reccomend Scalea property as they also show you alot of the smaller agents that are hard to find.

Good luck in you search and let us know how you get on.

Hi

I totally recomend http://www.scalea-property.com/page--3.html

they ( Tony , David and Melonie) have been very helpful. We have a place in Scalea and did NOT buy through them because we didn't know of them when we had already put our deposit down. We were not happy with the service we received from the local estate agent and we would not recomend them to anyone else. We were very stressed out with the unprofessional manner in which we were treated .

We are renting out our property with Tony too and he has been very helpful to us and very knowledgeable too! Not only is he that but he is also a friend and is there to help out if need be. Its not easy to buy without an english speaker so be aware of this. If Tony can't find what you are looking for then challenge him to do so I'm sure he can find you something with a little research.

About Scalea its well worth it and we are looking forward to going over in july hope to meet some of you property owners .....future and present.

Regards

Cazz/Carolina

Hi guys, I take it some of you are renting your Scalea properties to holidaymakers. What kind of occupancy do you get, what yield is realistic on 1-2 bed apartments? Thanks for any advice.
