A Milestone!

This week brought the 100th member of Scalea.info. Great stuff!
So, as there are so many of you out there how about some contributions about places to visit and things to see?
I know some of you have been members for quite some time now and possibly bought your place here quite some time ago.
If you are like us the first few visits may have been spent sprucing up your new place then sitting in the sun marvelling at the fact that you are now the proud owner of a tiny piece of Italy.
But if anyone has found time to do some exploring and could spare a few minutes to share experiences of some of the wonderful places that we have on our doorstep we would all be grateful, I'm sure.

On the same theme, how about posting some of your photo`s on the forum gallery, its quite easy to do!!
( it must be, because even I can do it!!)

here is a simple trip- last week myself and a couple of mates went for a drive along the coast to Diamante, ( best if its wet & horrible in uk & sunny in scalea.

Take the southern exit off the ss18 and drive along the coast road into Diamante, stop for a few moments at the new view point, see the golden beach and go for a short walk. Follow the road into town and park along the seafront.Visit Caffe Nini and have a very large sorbet whilst sitting in the sun, wander round the old town streets looking at the fantastic murales on the walls
Finaly pose under the webcam ( see lesley`s 4th Feb 07 post for link )and ring anybody back home who can get on the webcam site,give them an enthusiastic wave & tell them all about your last couple of hours (who knows they may still talk to you when you get home)
