Jeep Adventure

We have had a good friend from England (Linda) staying with us for a week and last Thursday we went on a Jeep trip into the Pollino National Park.
It was the most amazing day out and we'd thoroughly recommend it.
There's a number of different itineraries but we did the half day trip with lunch in an agriturismo near the end.
We met a herd of wild horses, saw birds of prey and did some awesome off-roading. The views were to die for and we were thrilled by the whole experience.
Our guide Rossano was superb and very obviously knows the place like the back of his hand.
His sense of humour was great (he really took the mickey out of Tony's new haircut - perfectly justified though as it looked like a bad wig!)
There's a load of wildlife in the National Park that we weren't lucky enough to see on this occasion but we are very fortunate indeed to have such a place on the doorstep
