Shower cubicles

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help? We have got a very small shower tray 600 mm I think. Does anyone know of anywhere we can possibly get a shower cubicle from - or of any bathroom suppliers? Also, does anyone know of any furtniture shops between Lamezia and Scalea? We have been to the ones in Scalea.

Debbie, I know the problem but not the answer! We will be in Scalea on 3rd October to renovate our bathroom and as yet have been unable to find the materials we are looking for. On your travels have you sourced tiles, taps etc? Do you have a contractor to do your alterations? hope you don't mind me asking. We have only just bought and living so far away in South Africa, we have to make every trip meaningful. To this end we are going to try and do the bathroom in a 2 week period in October and would be grateful for any advice you can give us!! Lynn

Ours is a new build property so the builder has done all the tiling etc. I know there is a bathroom showroom of some sort on the main road out of scalea towards Diamante but not sure what they sell there. Spa in Scalea may sell taps - they seem to sell most other things! and there is a hardware shop in Scalea too. Sorry I can't be of more help. Other than that Ikea in Naples would probably sell them too.

Hi,

There is a shop in Belvedere which is just off the mainroad (in the direction driving from the main road from Scalea)
It is on 2 levels and has bathroom accessories (including shower cubicles) on the upper level.
I can't remember the name of it though, but you cannot miss it!

Hi ,,There is a great spar between Belvedere and Diamente.You will get a shower cubicle and any furniture in there.It has three floors and furniture is down stairs ,the washing machines etc are on the ground floor and if you go around the back and go up you are in the food .It is a spar. Good luck.

Hi there, I have just come back from Scalea and whilst there have bought two shower cubicles from a shop just off Via Lauro on a road called Via Algheri (spelling might not be perfect) it is just past the benneton shop on the right hand side, he has all sort of brochures that you can pick from, he will fit them also for about 35 euro each.

This chain get advertised on tv here quite a bit and makes me think of the likes of DFS.

Thanks Paul - for the info about shower cubicles - we are out there from 17th so will check it out. Our shower tray is so tiny our builder said he couldn't get a cubicle to fit!
Thanks also to Lesley - I will investigate the link shortly - we had planned to go to Ikea this time and load the car with as much as we can get. After reading lots on the forum - is it better to get duvets etc at Ikea or should I try and bring them? Hopefully we won't need them for October though!

We bought a 4 season quilt from Ikea which is very nice indeed and we can use the thin one by itself in the milder weather and put the two together in the depths of winter. LOL! not that it's winter as we know it but as we don't yet have any central heating it does get nippy at night.
They are 149 euros at Ikea for a double.
One thing to bear in mind is that Ikea quilts and Uk quilts differ in size so you will need to purchase the appropriate covers in the same size wherever you buy your quilts.

Just back from Scalea and thanks to everyone for advice on shower cubicles, ended up getting one from Paul's suggestion and as stated they came out and fitted it for us.
