Does anyone know of some good maps? Source of all info - Patmc? I'm thinking something along the lines of our Ordnance Survey. I found a map of the Cosenza region last time I was there but it was very non-detailed and had some roads down as tracks that proved to be perfectly reasonable and others down as 'proper' roads that turned out to be donkey level. S'pose good maps might take the excitement out of never knowing you can get anywhere - we ended up going up a 'road' up a mountain which a lot of goats would have had second thoughts at - it was on the map as red. Come to think of it, maybe that means danger! Cheers

We brought a great map of calabria from waterstone book shop.

The make is Euro map and cost £4.99

I also have EuroMap of Calabria and, as Melanie says, it's very good. Not quite as detailed as our Ordnance Survey, gives mountains but not contour lines but compensates by shading in the mountains to give a sort of 3-D effect. However the roads are very good, even down to giving the old mule tracks across the mountains which the mountain villagers used before the roads were built. Theses are now used as adventure trails for the adventurous.
