Ryanair flight from Stansted to Lamezia was on time leaving and arrived early. No queue at the car hire desk and an easy journey to Scalea. So, all in all, so far so good.
If anyone is here at the moment happy to meet up for a drink and a chat so let us know.

Hi,
Well, that's great news and it's good to know that travelling to Calabria from Stansted with Ryanair through the winter months is now a viable option.
I don't know how soon we'll be able to get over there but I've always thought it would be so nice to be there during the winter months, as the warmer and dryer weather is so much nicer that what we have to face in the UK! We don't have a place of our own but we have family over there who are in the holiday rental business, so we wouldn't be short of somewhere to stay. Here's hoping those flights are here to stay!
Enjoy your time in Calabria - the good weather, good food and relaxing environment should set you up for whatever's left of the winter! Not too bad in the east at the moment - mild and sunny for December - much different to the freezing cold and snow we had last year!
Ciao a tutti,
Frances.
