Hi everyone,

I am getting married in San Nicola next July. trying to find as much information as possible, ie if we could marry in church, who would hold the service etc. We are both divorced. Anyone been married in Italy?
Any information would help.

No idea about the church aspect but both of the weddings I have attended were civil ceremonies and performed by the Mayor of the comune in question. The ceremony for a civil ceremony needs to be performed in a comune owned building i believe (but the mayor of Maratea is happy to do a "pretend" ceremony after the official one whereever you want (not sure if all are so obliging).
