Great news that Budjet have opened an office in Scalea. 2 years ago I priced car hire from Mondo Auto in Scalea and I felt it was a bit over the top pricewise plus they put a 100 Km a day limit on---anything over that was charged per Km.
I already have my car hire booked for my visits in April/May and June but I will use Budjet in Scalea when I return in September. This probably means I will use your Airport Transfer service in September.It also means that people visiting Scalea will no longer have to hire a car for their entire holiday. Car Hire can be quite expensive if you are visiting Scalea for say, 3 to 4 weeks at a time.

Hi.

Have just read about the car hire firm opening in Scalea, this is great news, but could someone tell me more about the transfer service from the airport please. We usually hire from Naples, but some of my relatives are flying into Lemenzia in the summer and I am sure they would be very interested if there was a service to Scalea.


P.S. There seems to be a lot of people from Scotland and Ireland that are buying in the Scalea area. I am from Glasgow also, we bought in San Nicola Arcella in October 2004.

I have found that booking Hertz through the Ryanair site is the cheapest of all, and I have tried many other companies for comparisons. They also operate fully throughout the winter months when the flight times are less favourable. You can only use this service if Ryanair fly to your destination airport though, so in our case, it works for Lamezia but not Naples.

They are not always cheaper though. I've just booked a car in The Netherlands and they were a little bit more expensive in that instance.

It always pays to compare when booking, but I must say that Hertz do seem to come out on top most of the time but you must go through the Ryanair site to get the best prices. I went to Hertz direct site (to try and get Nectar points!) but it was a lot more money than the quote from Hertz via Ryanair.
