Default Royal Wedding

Hi all

Great day yesterday. Lots of parties. What a pleasure to be able to fly the union flag and sing Jerusalem with gusto. Oh for the ability to be like the USA and be able to stand under the flag, hand on heart and sing the national anthem with being labelled a racist.

Not an out and out Royalist but better than having the inevitable super corrupt President.

Great to be out talking to the neighbours and watching the boys play football.

Ciao

John

I too thought it was terrific. Just switched on to see the 'frock' and was hooked! Had a super time at my neighbours too. Just nice to have something to smile about

Ah Well, John and Mizzy. I guess Catherine will be certain of a more than adequate settlement when the divorce eventually happens!
Great day it may have been but I still can't get to grips with the omission of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown from the guest list when the likes of Kenneth Clarke was there for everyone to see. There is no doubting which political party the Royals prefer.
Best of luck to Catherine----I think she'll need it!
Ciao, Billy.

Were you in Italy or elsewhere?

Was chatting to an Italian girl on Scalea station yesterday and was amazed how keen she was about THE wedding. She said that there are a lot of 'Scaleans' who have worked in the UK, returned home, but are still keen on all things Brit - just as well someone is! She said they put out flags on the day -so there will have been more flags in Scalea than in our road in the UK! Her knowledge of all things royal put me to shame! Felt like I should have known who Wills's cousins twice removed were! Anyway, whilst I'm on the site - can I say huge thanks to Lesley and Brian for lovely company the other night. Like I said, you're Honorary Consuls - HMG's reps in Calabria! See you next time. (Writing this in the UK so we did make it back).

Hi Lesley and Brian,
Not bad eh! HMG's Reps in Calabria---Brian will be getting a Knighthood next or maybe the grand title of Duke and Duchess of Diamante could be bestowed on your good selves---We'll have to wait on the New Year's Honours list to find out.
With regard to THE wedding, there weren't any flags in our street or any surrounding streets. Not many Royalists here I'm afraid as the huge SNP vote indicated yesterday. I'm not sure what will happen in Scotland when the next General Election takes place although I think that many of the SNP voters will revert back to Labour.
Only time will tell, Cheers Billy.

Thanks for that Margaret - I was fascinated by that - I wouldn't know about cousins either!
