Lamezia to Scalea/SDT - Lift Needed

Dear all

My husband is joining me on Friday 29th April and I booked him in on the last flight out of Stansted to Lamezia (Fri, 29 Apri1 Flight FR4966 Depart STN at 17:10 and arrive SUF at 21:10) only to then discover that he won't be able to get a train North.

I do drive locally but don't think my nerves will support a Friday evening journey to Lamezia on my own to pick him up so wondered, before booking him into a B&B, if anybody is coming in on that flight who might be picking up a car to drive North and would take him and a small bag for a contribution towards costs/petrol??

Otherwise it is the joys of Lamezia overnight.

Hi Helena,
Hope you are successful with the lift from Lamezia to SD Talao. If not , I see that a one way journey from Lamezia Airport to the Scalea area can be booked through Calabria Property Consultants at a cost of 80 Euros for one person. I know that this seems rather expensive but there would be no B/Breakfast or rail journey to pay and would be ,more or less ,from door to door.

Thanks Billy. No other response as of today but don't suppose many people check on regularly.

Thanks for reminding me of that option; we have used them 3 years ago for a journey to Lamezia.

Closer to the time I will check in case they are coming in as they will offer shares if they take minibus.
