The Government testing theory it states I wouldnt have believed before, but several months ago, on a totally cloudless blue sky and sunshine day, A plane went overhead, not on the normal flight paths, and quite low. I was stunned as underneath and behind where the rear wheels should be was a dark shape with a silver 'ball' trailing behind! I was stunned. (Before you ask I had not been partaking of anything alcoholic or pharmacuetical!). I thought something had fallen out of the hold or was caught around the rear wheels, but was still confused by the silver ball. The reason I first noticed it, was it was glinting in the sunlight - that is what caught my attention.
So I phoned up the aviation nutters line (well I assume its the nutters line and that they must receive lots of crank calls) and the first respone was 'well that will be Easy Jet'
but eventually got through to someone with sense. Several phone calls back declared it to be military testing! Now not sure if that is a standard response, but it made me suspicious of what it was all about. Probably innocent though and just meteorological testing or something, but still weird. Have never seen anything like it before.
