Hi Claire:

The Salerno IKEA is on the A30 - Lancussi exit. We have been there twice by car - I have not seen a train station in the area. It is a 2 hour drive from Scalea. Very nice store - not overly busy.

Default salerno ikea

Very convenient, on the route from Naples airport. You drive straight past it. We have gone just to purchase new terrace furniture last Easter so we think it easy to do in a day. Otherwise just like any Ikea. A word of warning, you can't use family card from UK so don't purchase anything that you are expecting a reduction on at the till!

Hi Claire

In 2005 we got our kitchen from Ikea in Naples. We had to choose everything handles etc without much Italian at the time. They were very good and did the drawing from our measurements. We left the key with a friend and they delivered and fitted the kitchen while we were in Ireland. Everything was perfect and on time. At the time we did not know of anywhere , but I think now you could get a nice kitchen made locally at a reasonable price and might be worth asking around.

Thanks for the advice June, have had a few quotes in Scalea (bit pricey) and they keep trying to give me a kitchen the size of the one at home (3 bedsemi) unfortunately our appartment is tiny and we only want a few units and a sink

Default IKEA minivan service

Hi, if you want to buy furniture from IKEA I can provide a full service of transport with a spacious minivan. The van have 8 passengers seats or just 5 if you need more space for goods. Just call Nicholas (+39) 3475570595 and easily you can have an all day at IKEA and have all the furniture with you in Scalea.

Also I can help on planning and full installation service (assembling, plumbing, gas, etc.) of IKEA furniture.

Default English spoken

When we were in Salerno Ikea on our way down at Easter, we were approached to use the self service tills by a Scottish girl working there. She was very friendly and helpful as well. She had a badge which said that she spoke English so this must be something they are developing. Could be very useful.
