World Cup Football - Lido Da Pietro, Scalea

The friendly Lido Da Pietro is showing World Cup matches if anyone fancies getting together for a convivial afternoon/evening.
Already there have been a few gatherings for the games that have been of interest to the UK and USA contingent here.
The lovely owners of the lido are Carmelo and Antonella and these are the matches that will be coming up soon.

The list will be updated for the later rounds once the qualifiers have taken place.

No doubt we will watch some of the later games there. Where exactly is Lido da Pietro? It doesn't ring a bell?
Colman and Liam will be over Sunday week 4th and as things stand I will be over the following week. Work premitting I may be able to change flights and come earlier with them - won't know for another few days. Looking forward to seeing yourself and Brian again !

Hi Niamh,

Lido da Pietro is right along the seafront, at the Northernmost end towards the rocks, and is across the road from Vigri restaurant, if you know where that is.
Let me know if you need any more detailed directions.

There was a couple of dozen English & Irish folk watching today's game this afternoon - and a lot of smiling faces at the end of the game.

Football is not really something that grips me, but it's a lovely sociable atmosphere.
