Italians are noted for their design - cars, furniture etc. Has anyone else wondered why they can't design forms that are legiible (sometimes the print's microscopic) , understandable (native speakers give up in despair) and not a total mess as far as graphics goes. Had a 'state' one the other day that honestly could have been done by a 5 year old chimpanzee. It's weird.

Whoops - legible! Also, thought after I wrote the above - maybe it's a sort of retro (to the 1800s!) that I just haven't got the hang of - though maybe not as actually their newspapers seem to be just masses of print lumped on a page as well. Odd.
