Does anyone know what Splash is in Scalea, I thought it was an indoor swimming pool but have it on good authority that there is no such thing

Hi,
I think there's an indoor pool on the South side of Scalea. It doesn't look like a conventional type of Building---I think it was constructed early last year.I can see this building from my Balcony away in the distance.

If you look in the "Activities" section of this forum, you will find details on Splash - including the address and telephone number. It is described as an indoor swimming pool.

I have not yet visited it myself, preferring to sit on my balcony and simply watch the world go by.

Splash was put on the forum some time ago and the location was described as near the post office but the lady who posted the info says there are no pools in Scalea, we shall go on a mish to find it many thanks for the replies

Hi Claire,
The building I mean is only a stone's throw away from the SS18 on the left as you drive towards Cirella. I'm 95% sure that it is a swimming pool.

The building on the SS18 to the south of Scalea is PISCINA COPERTA COMUNALE DI SCALEA - a covered public swimming pool. Splash shows on the internet as being at another location (via B Rinaldi 29/31). Does this help?

Claire,
Splash is just off the road to the post office.
I know it exists as we went in to ask about some aqua aerobic lessons.

The covered pool on the outskirts (which has a roof that will slide back to make it uncovered) is not yet open although is largely finished.
