Ryanair warning Just to warn other members who, like myself, may have applied for a pre-paid mastercard in order to avoid Ryanair's 'back door charges'. When making a booking yesterday I unchecked the appropriate box as I did not wish to 'take advantage' of their extortionate guaranteed exchange rate when converting from GBP to Euros. Despite the fact that there were sufficient funds on the card the payment was initially declined. However, the website gives you the option to 'try again'. The payment then went through but at their guaranteed rate. I am today in the process of attempting to get the additional 31 euros it has cost me back from Mr O'Leary. Now I may be a bit of a sceptic, but it really wouldn't suprise me if this is a deliberate ploy built into the system in order to extort a bit more money out of us. Of course it may just be an innocent computer error along with the completely innocent mistake they made when estimating that my call would take 7 minutes to be answered when in fact it took 30 mins. Not a bad liitle earner at 10p a minute but no doubt just on the right side of legal like many of Mr O'Leary's activities.
I'm hardly wound up at all.
