Default New Arrival

Hi, I have just arrived to live in Scalea for the winter (better than cold in Ireland) and was wondering does anybody have books they would like to swop or sell to me. I like thrillers but have some interesting books to swop. I speak no Italian and that is a priority, I have heard there are some free lessons in a school but have no other details. Can anybody enlighten me. I have also seen some messages about walking groups and I wonder if these are happening as I would like to become involved. Thanks for any information I receive.

Anne

Default Book swap

Hi
We usually have books to swap. We will be in Scalea for a month from the end of February if you are there then. We were supposed to be there now but the flu caught us out and we were unable to travel. Enjoy the better temperatures.

I have an absolute load of books that are available to anyone who would like to read them.
(There's lots of thriller and mystery books because Brian likes them as well as a mixed bag of other stuff).
If you take some you can then let me have them back to pass on again or keep them, whichever you prefer.
And if you have any you would like to donate to the "library" I will make sure they are passed on to anyone who wants them.

I'm also a member of Bookcrossing so a lot of the books I have are detailed here so you can look them up and see what they are about and see if they tickle your fancy.
There is no need join Bookcrossing to take any of the books tho - although it is a great way to discover new authors and share books so I hope you all take a look...here's a link to my bookshelf.

I'll post a new thread about the Italian lessons at school so that it is easier to find for anyone doing a search later.

Hi Lesley, what an amazing collection of books. I hope you won't mind if we take you up on your offer to borrow a few later on in the year. maybe we can add to it. We have nowhere to store a lot of books as our flat is too small so we tend to give them away. It would be better I think to add to your library so that they would then be generally available. Thanks for the info about Italian classes. i can't see us being there for any length of time this year but hopefully we can get to Scalea for a month the year after,

Many thanks for all the useful information you provide.

Lynn

Private messages can be accessed from the link on the top right of your screen (just underneath the Welcome, (whatever your username is) link.
