Lamezia fs station to airport

Everybody else may know this little bit of trivia - but we just discovered it recently - so here it is!

If you are not in a hurry, and don't want to pay the €10 standard taxi fare for the 5-minute hop to the airport, the number 18 bus will take you there for €1.50 if you buy your ticket on board. I think it may be only €1.00 in a Tabachi.

As you exit the station, turn right and walk a couple of hundred metres along Via del Mare. Just at a hotel called (most appropriately!) Piccolo Hotel, there is a bus stop. The Hotel concierge will tell you, with reasonable accuracy, when the next bus is expected.

Not recommended if you are travelling with your entire wardrobe in 5 suitcases!!

That is a useful piece of info but alas Mr Ryan Air is not flying to Lamezia
so its Naples for us now. Its not too bad a journey and the time soon flies
looking at all the lovely scenery and I always manage to spot something I
did not see before.

Hello Maisy,

We in Ireland do not have the luxury of a direct DUB/SUF flight either, we have to go with Ryanair via Bergamo or Pisa and then on to Dub. Our direct Dub/Nap flight with Aer Lingus does not operate in the winter - so our choices are limited at times. Still, we get there when we want to.
