day trips

Im heading to Scalea next week and was wondering where would be nice for a day trip, somewhere close enough as we have a toddler who doesnt like to stay still for long. Also one by train as we dont have a car. I did look at Belvered Marittimo or Praja, any ideas or suggestions would be most welcome
