Seems as if there are going to be lots of us there in June. If we put all the dates into the calendar maybe we can get together once or twice.

Hi Doug

With the members calendar, if you select add new event in the top right hand corner of the calendar you can add a date, a range of dates or a recurring event.

Any updates on how are you settling in at San Domenica?

Howdy John,

Thanks for the tip and I shall give it a try. We'll be there late May/June for 2 weeks. It's another 1.5 years before we can escape to pensioner-land and actually settle in. Hope to do some painting of the lower apartment, but we really need to get out and explore more -- like Cosenza and other larger towns looking for shopping opportunities that aren't in the Scalea area. Also need to play a little instead of focusing every moment on la casa. See you.

We leave the area June 10 for a June 11 flight home. Next year thinking of just one 4 week visit in lieu of two - 2 week visits. After that, we'll be living there and can forget about the 20 hour travel ordeals. We'll have to get together June 9 if possible. Doug

We don't have your mobile number and we also do not have our own as we left the Italian phone there and never wrote down the number! Brilliant eh Oops, Di just found it on an invoice from the forwarder we used -- 334.619.6299

If you want to send your's to 14viacapella@gmail.com we'll hang on to it. We take this computer along too, so will have email capability there. Just need to throw some more euros into the TIM wireless account when we arrive.

A default might be an 1800 meeting at Pier Bar on June 9th as that seems to be the only day of overlap with you. Too bad as John and I probably won't have time to try the San Michele golf course again. I think it could be an acceptable course in the spring when the grass is still green and the heat/humidity is not so high. I'm afraid to know how hot it is in Durban this time of year!

See you on 9th at 18.00. Will email my number. Not too bad here today, about 29c and humidty 65%. Hotter and more humid tomorrow they say. It's getting into autumn now so the humidity is beginning to ease off. Saw Giancarlo and elaine yesterday and abbiamo parlato un po' in italiano. Only a bit because it's difficult to maintain a conversation in Italian when you are in a cafe in Durban!!

Sounds good Lynn. It's 4 here this morning and probably going to 10-12 degrees with a touch of sun and NO RAIN. We'll get out for a walk with the dog after being house-bound. Looks like Di and I both did the calendar without talking, so there is something there now!

Yeah, I can imagine speaking Italian in Durban would be like trying it here. We can do Spanish here without raising eyebrows. I just tried a buongiorno on a Mexican man waiting to go inside for work downstairs and after a second, he smiled and offered buonas dias. He and Vince, our dog, exchange greetings on Sunday mornings. I think dogs do well with eye contact and a pat to the head in any language. Doug
