Local Buses in Scalea

Hi everyone,
Just wondered if anyone has used the local bus service that goes up to Petrosa near Parco Meridiana. When we first went up to see the site we were told there was a regular bus service into the town and we have seen a little bus going down the hill a couple of times but we have no idea where to catch it, where exactly it goes, if it is seasonal and how frequent it is.
Possibly coming to stay at Parco Meridiana in April with my family and was hoping to maybe live without a hire car but my Parents are quite elderly and not sure they could make it back up the hill from town without needing an oxygen mask half way up!
Does anyone know more than I do about it? Cheers
